I am a man of many hats with a passion to please and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Many days Iโm a technical solutions consultant. On other days, the real fun happens at many special events that I get to be a part of. My drive for perfection and my attention to detail lend itself well to the satisfaction of my clients. I believe this type of entertainment service is not just a job but a responsibility.
I’ve lived a very interesting career path which has allowed me to develop a plethora of skills. This has brought me usable experience in such broad areas including small-business accounting, software engineering, business management, entertainment, and adventure.
I’m very fortunate that I tend to become highly focused on the things that interest me most. This has seemingly gave me the ability to excel swiftly at the things I enjoy doing. My attention to detail has helped me become proficient at planning events down to the minute and reacting well when details must change suddenly.
Background
I’m an Indiana native that spent some of his days evolving through national travel and career relocation. I’ve lived in a number of states, but Indiana remains home so far. I’m not the guy that will always tell you life is great but I find the silver linings through humor. I can be a fairly energetic person which lends itself well to fanning the fire of a dance party so to speak. Don’t worry though, I also know how to keep things low-key if that’s something you’re looking for.
Experience
While I have only been at it for a few years, those years proved to be incredibly rich with experience. My first year was spent doing gigs every season weekend, often with 2 gigs per weekend. The best thing this gave me was diversity of experience. I traveled to multiple states for different types of events and got a feel for how to balance and energize crowds of varying personalities.
My specialty by far is wedding receptions which comprise more than 95% of my entertainment experience. I’ve played some bars, clubs, and hosted corporate and karaoke events but I find these tend to be the least challenging. For me, wedding receptions require the most rewarding work. This is attributed to the joy I get from achieving the perfectly executed reception that results in truly joyful memories for a lifetime. It helps to view each reception as a once in a lifetime opportunity since each crowd is different.
